Let Love Flow — healing and the inner child

🎧 Listen to "Deixa Fluir o Amor Que Há em Ti" on Spotify

This was the second song. It came a few days after the first. The difference was great.

The first was a promise to myself. The second was an invitation to someone — not addressed to anyone in particular, and therefore addressed to everyone who resonates.

The lyrics

Com amor e alma cura-me e cura-te No teu olhar de criança há luz a surgir Atento à mudança que vive em ti Como é bom ver-te sorrir

The first line is the thesis of the song: healing happens between two.

Not literally "two people lovingly involved" — between two can be you and a friend. You and an animal. You and nature. You and your own reflection in a moment of presence.

Solitary healing exists — but it is incomplete. There are parts of us that only heal when another consciousness draws close with real love.

"In your child's gaze"

The second line — "in your child's gaze there is light rising" — is a concrete observation.

When someone looks at you without agenda, without judgment, without a mask — there is literal light in that person's eyes. The eyes open wider. Pupils dilate. The skin around the eyes relaxes.

The language we use is "child's gaze" because it is a rare state in adults. I see it in Sónia when we are at peace. I see it in animals. I see it in moments of people who are telling me something they feel deeply.

That gaze is healing. It is recognizing in the other what they have forgotten of themselves.

The chorus — core of the song

Deixa fluir o amor que há em ti É de verdade, veio pra ficar aqui Neste corpo, neste lugar Tudo é real, basta acreditar

Notice the structure: I don't say "love more" or "open your heart" — phrases that ask for effortful action.

I say "let it flow". It is a passive verb. You are stopping yourself from blocking something that already exists in you. You don't have to create love — you have to stop damming it up.

Most people who feel "incapable of loving" are not actually incapable — they are simply blocking what they feel. Out of fear. Out of old wounds. Out of programming. Out of the belief they don't deserve it.

You already have within you everything you need to love. The question is: are you available to let it flow?

"It's real, it came to stay"

É de verdade, veio pra ficar aqui Neste corpo, neste lugar

The song insists: love is real, it is in the body, it is in the place.

It is not abstract. It is not "cosmic universal love" floating in the ether. It is real love, embodied, materialized.

In you. In your body. In this physical place where you find yourself.

And it came to stay. It is not a moment. It is a state available forever.

"Just believe"

Tudo é real, basta acreditar

This phrase may sound like a cliché. But there is a layer I want to decode.

"To believe" here is not "to have faith without evidence". It is its opposite: to believe in what you are already feeling. To trust your own sensing.

You feel love for your mother — even when she frustrates you? Believe. You feel something beautiful toward that stranger on the street who smiled at you? Believe. You feel love that you cannot yet name? Believe.

Most people doubt what they feel because they were trained to doubt. The song asks for the opposite. Feel. Trust. Let it flow.

"You came into the world to be happy"

Deixa fluir o amor que há em ti É de verdade veio pra ficar aqui Confia em ti, sente e sorri Vieste ao mundo pra ser feliz

The last line of the chorus is the boldest statement of the song: you came into the world to be happy.

In cultures that tend to glorify suffering, sacrifice, the "struggle" — this phrase may sound irresponsible. "But what about problems? But what about the others who suffer?"

My answer: only those at peace with themselves can genuinely help those who suffer. Whoever sacrifices to the point of burnout ends up resenting the sacrifice and transmitting that frequency to others.

Being happy is not selfishness. It is the sustainable foundation for everything else.

A practice that comes from this song

This week — once, during the day, in silence:

  1. Place your hand on your chest
  2. Breathe deep three times
  3. Say mentally: "I let the love that is in me flow."
  4. Don't try to love anything or anyone specific. Just let.
  5. Feel what comes (or doesn't come)

Repeat once a day if it resonates. In 3-4 days, you'll notice something subtle shifting — not on the outside, in you.

The song is just a catalyst. The real work is yours.
